Fabric is the single most important material decision in bag development. It determines the look, the feel, the weight, the durability and the cost of the finished product. The right choice depends on how the bag will be used and how it should feel in the customer's hand.

Woven polyester in 600D and 900D weights is the workhorse of the industry — affordable, durable and available in a wide range of colours. Nylon is lighter and often smoother, making it popular for travel and technical products. Cotton canvas offers a natural, premium feel and takes printing well, while coated and waterproof fabrics suit outdoor and protective use.

Beyond the face fabric, the lining, webbing and foam all affect how the bag feels and performs. We recommend selecting these together so the whole construction works as a system, rather than choosing the outer fabric in isolation.
